What prevents me from starting something.
Usually what prevents me from starting a project or an assignment is the feeling of not doing it right. I have a lingering fear of rejection that only becomes present before I start an assignment. I get myself all ready to do a project and then the feeling strikes and I go into panic mode and brush it off until I have some sort of either inspiration or motive for starting. I was having doubts on starting this assignment but then I remembered if I brush it off I would get a zero so that pushed me to at least write something down. To get myself to start I have to isolate myself from everything. People, technology, my instruments or even a broom because when I want to avoid stuff I would go as far as to start cleaning my whole house.

Stac adventures.
When Luke told our class that we were going to go on a trip I guess you can say I overthought the whole idea of field trips. I never went on a Stac trip and I've heard stories of what they were like but I was left with my imagination to plan out how that day was going to go. When it finally happened and we were standing at Mineola station waiting for the LIRR to Penn station I could already tell it was going to be a good day from the energy and excitement everyone was expressing. When we arrived at Neue Gallery the outside of the building was very unique because of the architectural structure and design. As we were going up the stairs I had a dumb moment and tried to take a picture of the big Egon Schiele picture hanging on the wall as you're going up the stairs and was scolded by one of the men that worked there. I really enjoyed the whole Neue experience because I really saw all the emotion and passion Egon Schiele puts into his sketches and how sexual and how casual the female body was used at the time. One piece that I was captivated by was the painting by Gustav Klimt with the lady in the gold dress. I was starring at it for a good 20 mins trying to notice everything I could about it, it was truly beautiful. When we went to the MET I really liked everything I saw especially the instrument section that I never noticed before until that trip and it really intrigued me because I love music and seeing all those instruments blew my mind. Then after that we were told we can roam the city until 7:00 which was when we needed to meet for the play "The curious incident of the dog in the night time." I lost my group so I attached myself to a friendly group and we all went to a really good Peruvian restaurant called Pio Pio. After a few hours of wandering we all met up with Luke to see the play. As I was walking in I noticed that the theatre looked very old and sort of classical ish. The set compared to the whole theatre was a big throw off because the set looked very modern and very futuristic and the theatre looked fairly old. The play overall was phenomenal I loved the minimal amount of props and movements of sets needed to make the play happen because it was so simple! It was a box that morphed to make the scenes happen and it made the play so much better. Overall the day was amazing and the play made it that much better. I look forward to a years worth of amazing plays with amazing people.

1. Items- My longboard, this has a lot of sentimental value to me because my grandfather gave it to me and its something I could never bare to part with mostly because after he passes I have something to remember him by.
2. Respect-
- Self Respect > You have to have confidence. You have to have good hygiene because thats the main factor to becoming approachable. You have to think of your self in a positive way, you can walk around thinking to your self that you're ugly and you're a loser or else your self esteem isn't going anywhere and you're not going to have any friends.
-Respect for others > I feel these are all important values but it honestly depends on the situation. Say you come across a person who cuts you in line at the grocery store most people would be outraged but it depends on the mood the setting and the severity of their action. If they were in a rush because say their daughter went to the hospital and they picked something up from the grocery store for them and they had to rush. You never know but its better to let things happen than having dire consequences.
-Respect for authority > When approached by a teacher your instinct is that you have to show them respect and you have to listen. But what happens when you're approached by a parent or an older sibling do you show them the same respect? If you truly respect you're parents and abide to ever command and order you are given then yes treat them with the same respect.
3. Freedom-
-Independence > When you become independent you're allowed to do whatever you want. But are you ready for that. When you're allowed to make your own decisions is your mind in the right setting? No you need self security. Also known as boundaries, but most people don't know their own boundaries until they're crossed. When you are given the opportunity to think for your self you eradicate every decision until it reaches an extreme. When you are independent you are really never on your own because there is still some common sense in your head re-thinking your decisions almost like a guardian.
